Happy New Year, Travelers! The Genshin Impact development team is excited to wish you all a fantastic start to 2025. We’re back with exciting news about Version 5.4, “Moonlight Amidst Dreams,” scheduled to be released on February 12. Get ready to return to Inazuma, the land of Electro, where a grand celebration is underway! Join your new ally, Yumemizuki Mizuki, and catch up with familiar characters like Raiden Shogun and Yae Miko as they come together for the Mikawa Flower Festival. This magical event invites both humans and youkai to celebrate under the sparkling moonlight of Inazuma.
This year, at the base of Mt. Yougou in Inazuma, the Mikawa Flower Festival is more radiant than ever. Once a major gathering of youkai in ancient times, it has evolved into a dynamic celebration that embraces both humans and youkai. With fresh vigor and spirit, the festival combines traditions with new friendships in a memorable way. A highlight of this year’s festivities is the “48-hour Game Development Competition”. And here’s a little teaser: Raiden Shogun will make a special appearance, perhaps on a mission to unravel a nightmare involving an old friend.
In this lively contest, both humans and youkai will team up over two days to craft new games. Thanks to the Kitsune Meal’s magic, youkai can now speak in human languages, allowing their magical abilities to blend seamlessly with human creativity. This fantastic collaboration is sure to produce some thrilling new mini-games!
First up among the new creations is “A Little Fox’s Daydream,” where Mizuki and Kokomi invite you on a journey through ever-changing dreamscapes. Here, a little fox must expertly travel between sweet dreams and nightmares to gobble up delicious fried tofu and reach its destination.
Another inventive title, “Bunshin Phantasm,” comes from the creative minds of Sayu, Yoimiya, and Kichiboushi. Guide the lovable Muji-Muji Daruma, which copy your movements, to activate pressure plates and unlock your way to success!
Don’t miss “Akitsu Harpastum: Dreams Doubled,” a delightful mashup of the classic “Akitsu Yuugei” brick breaker game with Mondstadt’s harpastum. Whether you’re playing solo or with friends, this mini-game will entice you with Festival Stamps, which can be swapped for exciting prizes, including the 4-star polearm, “Tamayuratei no Ohanashi.”
Now, let’s dive a bit into the unique features of the Aisa Bathhouse, now offering festival-themed bathrobes thanks to its major shareholder, the new 5-star character Yumemizuki Mizuki! As a yumekui-baku, Mizuki has the ability to consume nightmares. Pairing this with her role as a clinical psychologist, she helps clients face their deepest fears. Among her clients is a Natlanese warrior, haunted by the traumas of the Night Warden Wars. In Mizuki’s Story Quest, you’ll have the chance to visit Aisa Bathhouse and perhaps experience her dream-transforming treatments firsthand.
In battle, Mizuki shines as a 5-star Anemo catalyst user, blending Swirl DMG and healing in an elegant mix. Her flexibility fits various team setups, enhancing your Swirl DMG for a boost in team damage output! Her Elemental Skill lets Mizuki glide in the Dreamdrifter state, releasing AoE Anemo DMG periodically and increasing team Swirl DMG.
Mizuki can adapt her healing tactics based on the team’s needs. Her Elemental Burst draws opponents in and spawns “Yumemi Style Special Snacks.” Pick them up, and based on the HP of your current character, either heal them or deal AoE Anemo DMG. Her unique talent improves healing, increasing HP recovery by 30% when using HP Recovery Dishes.
Here’s another battle tip: Within the Dreamdrifter state, Mizuki boosts the pickup range for Yumemi Style Special Snacks, making them easier to gather during the heat of combat.
Version 5.4’s Event Wishes will feature Yumemizuki Mizuki’s debut alongside Sigewinne’s rerun in the first phase, with Furina and Wriothesley returning in the second. Post-Version 5.5, Mizuki will be included in the Standard Wish banner.
Beyond meeting familiar faces at the Mikawa Flower Festival, the “Travelers’ Tales: Anthology Chapter” event lets you encounter old friends in the open world. Just check for anecdote icons on your map to see their latest adventures.
For those who thrive on combat challenges, the “Realm of Tempered Valor” event offers a 25-floor challenge series, available for solo or Co-Op Mode. Reach specific milestones to earn an exclusive Namecard!
