Many celebrants believe their ancestors are bestowing blessings from the great beyond, marking this joyous occasion.
Throughout Sanctuary, including Nahantu, activating any Shrine will grant you a 100% bonus experience for two minutes, boosting your power while also enhancing your Ancestral Favor Reputation.
To dive deep into the festivities of Lunar Awakening, make your way to Ked Bardu and head north to meet Ying-Yue, the leader of the Lunar Night Market. This market serves as the heart of the event, where you can exchange your Ancestral Favor Reputation for Unceasing Gifts from the Ancestors, along with some delightful Lunar Renewal-themed rewards.
Scattered across Sanctuary, Lunar Shrines await. Engage in battles within dungeons and vast wilderness areas, activating these shrines and defeating monsters in your path to amass generous amounts of Ancestral Favor Reputation.
During Lunar Awakening, all your standard Shrines transform into Lunar Shrines, which offer a 100% experience boost upon activation. They’ve been visually updated to honor the Year of the Snake, ensuring a special festive touch. While they function like regular shrines, their effects are supercharged to enhance this celebratory period. A unique map icon will help you spot them from afar.
Lunar Shrines deliver extra benefits on top of their usual powers, adding a dash of excitement to your gameplay. Here’s a rundown of what they offer:
- Artillery Shrine: Casts might unleash a holy bomb.
- Blast Wave Shrine: Each explosion can trigger a cluster bombardment.
- Channeling Shrine: Heightens attack speed with a chance to refresh cooldowns.
- Conduit Shrine: Unleashes potent, electrifying strikes.
- Greed Shrine: Summons a Treasure Goblin, and kills bring forth another.
- Lethal Shrine: Could instantly execute a monster and instill fear in nearby enemies. Elites included, but not Bosses or Players.
- Protection Shrine: Reflects incoming damage, scaling with your level and difficulty.
Additionally, upon activating a Lunar Shrine, Miserly Spirits appear, allowing you to immediately reap the rewards of these enhanced effects.
Throughout the event, you’ll have 10 Ancestral Favor Reputation Levels to climb, unlocking rewards like a Resplendent Spark and six Lunar-themed cosmetic items, including the new Trag’Oul’s Consort mount*.
