Hold onto your controllers because we’ve got some thrilling news from 2XKO that’s sure to brighten up your month! They’ve just stirred up social media with talk of an upcoming development update video that we’re all itching to see. What can you expect? A juicy rundown of changes to their game, Jinx, and the scoop on the next Alpha Lab test is just around the corner.
The voice behind this exciting revelation is none other than Ben Forbes, the editor-in-chief at 2XKO. He took to Twitter to share, “We just wrapped up filming the next 2XKO update! We’re in the midst of editing, producing, and localizing it, but here’s a sneak peek at what’s in store: An in-depth look into our gameplay changes since Alpha Lab 1—with Jinx making an appearance—context and insights on Alpha Lab 2, and a showmatch featuring the dev team.”
Ben didn’t stop there either. His tweet went on to explain that, “This update delves pretty deep, so expect it to run for about an hour. We’re aiming to release it in the last week of March. We’re still warming up to the idea of PowerPoint livestreams, but maybe someday…”
Before you start dreaming of new character reveals, Ben was quick to temper expectations. Sadly, this update won’t introduce any new faces to the lineup. So maybe hold off on placing those bets!
Looking back, the 2XKO team left us hanging last year with a promise for fresh updates in February. But game director Shaun Rivera hopped on Twitter to relay some changes, including tweaks to the scope of the next Alpha Labs test and a new fuse for the game.
Evidently, internal timelines at Riot, paired with a shift in Alpha Lab test plans, have bumped the anticipated February update to this month. But with the game still on track for a release this year, this info-packed update should help clear the air on current developments and what’s on the horizon for 2XKO.
