The developers behind Days Gone Remastered have announced that they will be introducing six new PlayStation Trophies to the game. This addition is set to increase the overall trophy count to 67, giving loyal players new reasons to revisit the enhanced version of the beloved 2019 action-adventure game.
Days Gone, despite receiving a mix of praise and criticism at its initial launch, has managed to build a strong and passionate community over the years. Fans of the post-apocalyptic survival game by Bend Studio have long expressed their desire for a sequel, though neither Sony nor Bend Studio has confirmed any plans in that direction. In the meantime, however, Days Gone enthusiasts were pleasantly surprised with the announcement in February 2025 of a remastered edition exclusive to the PS5, which is slated for release on April 25. Following the release of a teaser trailer, the development team has now provided exciting news for trophy hunters.
In a recent Twitter announcement, Bend Studio shared that Days Gone Remastered will feature a total of 67 trophies. This includes six new ones, four of which are tied to the fresh Horde Assault mode. This mode challenges players to fend off relentless waves of freaker hordes for as long as they can. Additionally, these new trophies will be made available as Steam Achievements for the PC version. For those who are returning with their saved games from the PS4 version, the trophies will automatically sync to the PS5 remaster.
Let’s dive into the details of the newly introduced PS5 trophies:
- Dead Don’t Ride: Complete the story of Days Gone in Permadeath mode on any difficulty
- Freakshow: Survive Horde Assault for 15 minutes
- I’m On Top of the World: Achieve the target score for all levels in Horde Assault
- More Freakers, More Problems: Defeat a horde that’s larger than usual in Horde Assault
- Sarah’s Gift: Discover something significant to Deacon that was considered lost
- Survivor: Reach the maximum level in Horde Assault
When it comes to remasters like Days Gone and The Last of Us Part 2, some players might wonder why investing in an upgraded version of a game they already own is worthwhile. New additions such as the unique bundle of trophies certainly add an interesting twist for completionists. Beyond that, players can look forward to fresh game modes, support for the DualSense controller, and improved accessibility features along with upgraded graphics as part of Days Gone Remastered.
The planned remaster is indeed a treat for long-standing Days Gone fans, igniting hope that maybe one day, the idea of a sequel could be re-ignited. Especially now, given that Bend Studio’s live-service game, which was under development, has been canceled as of January 2025, there’s a chance that they might shift focus back to a new installment in the Days Gone narrative.
