This week’s Nintendo Switch eShop update is packed with nostalgic SNES classics, fresh tunes on the Nintendo music app, tempting sales, and a bunch of exciting new titles ready for you to dive into.
Starting off, the Switch Online collection has grown, adding four beloved titles from Koei’s prime SNES era. You’ll find Nobunaga’s Ambition and its sequel, Nobunaga’s Ambition: Lord of Darkness. Released in the early ’90s, these games plunge you into intense battles during Japan’s Sengoku period, your mission being to unite the fragmented regions.
Then there’s Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV Wall of Fire. This 1994 strategic gem transports you to ancient China, letting you experience the legendary power struggles depicted in the famed historical novel it’s based on.
And let’s not forget Uncharted Waters: New Horizons. Set during Europe’s Age of Discovery, this game offers a captivating mix of sailing, trading, and exploration, first launching in 1993. Each game transports you to different times and places, showcasing Koei’s knack for historical settings.
In other news, the Nintendo Music app has a new addition, albeit an incomplete one. Fans can now enjoy 23 tracks from Kirby and the Forgotten Land. It’s a bit peculiar that only part of the soundtrack is available, but there’s hope that the rest will be added soon.
Switching gears to new arrivals, the eShop welcomes titles like Which Way Up: Galaxy Games. We had a chat with the developers, Turtle Flip Studio, during a recent episode of the Pure Nintendo Podcast. Be sure to check it out—and keep an eye out for our upcoming review.
That’s the scoop for this week’s eShop highlights. Are any of these titles calling your name? We’d love to hear what you’re diving into this week!
