For some reason, at times, games just vanish from the PlayStation Store with little explanation or warning. Take, for instance, Rebellion’s 2014 shooter, Sniper Elite 3, which has recently gone missing.

Recently, PSN Profiles users have highlighted that Sniper Elite 3 and its downloadable content have been removed from the PS Store. However, it seems this disruption only affects the PS4 version; players report that both the PS3 version and its DLC remain accessible.
This delisting news might catch PS4 users by surprise, but it’s not a first for Sniper Elite 3. Last year, the game faced a similar fate on the Microsoft Store, leaving Xbox players unable to purchase it. A PSN Profiles user noted that while the developers were aware of these issues, they haven’t provided a clear follow-up on what’s behind this mysterious situation.
Back when the game disappeared from Microsoft Stores, the Sniper Elite team addressed the issue on X, assuring fans, “Snipers, we’re aware of some ongoing issues impacting the ability to purchase Sniper Elite III on Microsoft Stores. Rest assured, we’re doing everything we can to rectify the problem and hope to have a resolve in the near future.”
So far, Rebellion has been silent about its surprise vanishing act from the PS Store.
One speculative theory is that we might be on the brink of a remaster release. Back in 2019, Rebellion did launch Sniper Elite V2 Remastered, sprucing up the shooter first released in 2012. It’s possible that a revamped version of Sniper Elite 3 is in the works. But, for now, this remains mere speculation.
Even though Sniper Elite 3 is currently off the shelves, fans can still find other games in the series on the PS Store. Most recently, Sniper Elite: Resistance was released this January for both PS4 and PS5.
