PS Plus members, heads up! You’ve got a two-week window to grab some complimentary PS Stars points before the program undergoes some less-than-favorable changes. These points have been a pleasant bonus, considering that PS Plus subscriptions are renewed regardless of PS Stars. However, that’s all set to change on March 1, 2025, as was announced towards the end of last year.
## Say Goodbye to PS Stars Points for Subscriptions After March 1
If your PS Plus subscription is nearing its end and you’re thinking of renewing, it would be wise to do so by February 28. Come March 1, Sony will stop doling out PS Stars points for all subscriptions, including PS Plus.
PS Plus has been one of the easiest ways to rack up points, which can otherwise be a bit of a grind for anything worthwhile—apart from some digital collectibles that don’t really do much. But Sony seems to have caught onto this little hack and plans to put a stop to it altogether.
Just a heads-up, the points you earn now come with an expiration date, so you’ve got a year from when they’re unlocked to use them. Moving forward, it looks like PS Stars is shifting focus to cater primarily to folks who purchase most of their games digitally through the PS Store.
