Capcom is reviving nostalgia for gamers by bringing back the classic Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny, a beloved title from the PlayStation 2 era, now set to make its way to the Nintendo Switch.
This sequel to Onimusha: Warlords captivated players worldwide, achieving impressive sales figures of 2.1 million copies, making it the standout success of the series.
The game introduces us to a new hero, Jubei Yagyu, whose journey is driven by vengeance. Interestingly, his character design pays homage to Yusaku Matsuda, a renowned Japanese actor who rose to fame in the 1980s.
While this upcoming version stays true to the original game’s setting and gameplay, it comes enhanced with new features and improvements designed to enhance the gaming experience on modern consoles.
Players can look forward to downloading Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny from the Nintendo eShop when it becomes available worldwide for the Nintendo Switch in 2025.
