It looks like “Split Fiction,” the hit game released just recently, is getting its own film version. Variety reports that Story Kitchen is spearheading the project, assembling the right mix of cast, writers, and a director to bring it to the big screen. Known for their work on the “It Takes Two” adaptation, which Amazon is currently developing, Story Kitchen also has its hands on adaptations of “ToeJam & Earl,” “Slime Rancher,” and “Vampire Survivors.”
According to the buzz, major Hollywood studios are vying to jump on board, eager to be part of this exciting venture.
“Split Fiction” made a spectacular debut earlier in March, selling an impressive one million copies within the first 48 hours. By the end of its first week, it had doubled that number, hitting two million copies sold. Hazelight, the game’s developer, expressed their astonishment on Bluesky, saying, “We’re blown away! Simply amazing. Thank you to all of our new and old fans – we love how excited you are for our game.”
The adaptation of “It Takes Two” already has some star power with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson involved, and its script is in the capable hands of Pat Casey and Josh Miller, known for their work on Sonic the Hedgehog.
With such a strong lineage and promising prospects, the film adaptation of “Split Fiction” is one to keep on your radar.
