According to the latest details, NVIDIA’s board partners have been alerted to a delay in the launch of the RTX 5060 series GPUs. Originally set for a March reveal with an April release, these graphics cards will now be available a bit later than anticipated.
GeForce RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5060 Schedules Pushed Back
Just ahead of the eagerly awaited GeForce RTX 5070 release, we’re hearing murmurs about postponements concerning the RTX 5060 series GPUs. Initially rumored to be hitting the market by March for an April purchase, the timeline has shifted based on current reports.
The exact reasons for these delays remain murky, though it’s been confirmed by Board Channels that all of NVIDIA’s board partners have been informed. Although NVIDIA hasn’t officially confirmed this delay, the likelihood of it being accurate seems high, especially considering earlier reports of software bugs and supply chain hiccups. Nevertheless, these issues were never formally acknowledged by NVIDIA.
NVIDIA has circulated an email to its AIC partners, signaling a hold-up in the release of the RTX 5060 Ti and 5060 series products. Reports suggest that the RTX 5060 Ti 16G and 8G models will likely be pushed to mid-April, with the RTX 5060 slated for a mid-May release, pending further updates from NVIDIA.

Currently, it looks like the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti will make its debut around mid-April, with the base RTX 5060 following roughly a month later, in mid-May. It’s anticipated that both versions of the 5060 Ti will launch simultaneously. However, categorical launch dates are still up in the air and haven’t been disclosed even to NVIDIA’s closest partners.
In an interesting twist, the upcoming RTX 5060 series might end up coinciding with the launch of AMD’s RX 9060 series, which includes the RX 9060 XT and RX 9060 models. These cards will be available in both 8 GB and 16 GB variants, putting them in direct competition with the similarly configured RTX 5060 Ti models. Though specific dates for the RX 9060 series remain unannounced, they are rumored to be entering the market in the second quarter as well.
On the specifications front, the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti is positioned as a successor to the RTX 4060 Ti, sporting 4608 CUDA Cores, 8/16 GB GDDR7 VRAM, and a TDP of 180W. Meanwhile, the RTX 5060 will step in to replace the RTX 4060, featuring 3840 CUDA Cores, 8 GB GDDR7 VRAM, and a TDP of 150W. However, recent leaks have also hinted at a 12 GB VRAM version of the RTX 5060, which could potentially outperform the RX 9060, especially if AMD sticks to offering only the 8 GB variant.
